- Baez, Joan-NOEL- LP- stereo-Vanguard VSD 79320 - 1966 33 1/3 RPM LP release by Folksinger, Joan Baez. Baez lends her gorgeous pipes to a program of Christmas carols here, including "O Come Oh Come Emmanuel", "Carol of the Birds", and "Silent Night". Peter Schickele (best known the the world as the comedic P.D.Q. Bach) conducts the backing, which uses recorders, violas, lute, harpsichord, organ, winds, strings and percussion. Cover grades Near Mint. Disc (black stereolab label w/silver print) is clean, glossy and MINT. Gorgeous original copy!

Out of print in all formats. Slight cover wear & small rip in corner of front cover. (Back cover has an amazing photo which includes 37 big Pop & Rock stars!) Disc is quite clean.

Disc was issued as a limited run bonus for the first batch of copies of the David Bowie box set, "David Bowie: The Singles 1969-1993" on Rykodisc Records, which has since gone out of print. Disc is housed in a standard jewel case with no booklet-back insert only. Disc is MINT and unplayed.

Songs range from standards (Blue Christmas, Frosty the Snow Man) to spunky originals by Lynn (To Heck With Ole Santa Claus-omitted on the CD reissue!) Track listing: Country Christmas, Away In A Manger, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, Silver Bells, Blue Christmas, It Won't Seem Like Christmas, To Heck With Ole Santa Claus, White Christmas, Frosty The Snowman, Christmas Without Daddy, I Won't Decorate Your Christmas Tree, Gift Of The Blues. Copy at hand is an original Decca stereo first press copy in top condition. Cover is super clean with only the slightest wear. - Owens/Buck Owens and his Buckaroos-Christmas With Buck Owens and his Buckaroos- LP- stereo-Capitol ST 2396 - 1965 33 1/3 RPM 1st press LP release by Buck Owens. Unlike other Christmas albums, in which the artist often forsakes his usual style for Xmas schmaltz, Buck pulls off a double feat here by turning in an LP which not only sounds great in the classic Owens style, but features (almost all) original tunes with Xmas themes! Tracks include "Because It's Christmas Time," "Blue Christmas Tree," and the all-time classic (and Pop and Country chart hit) "Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy." Cover is extremely clean with only minor wear-1" piece of tape at top center edge-no stains, tears, splits, or writing. Disc (housed in original Capitol inner sleeve) is pressed on heavy vinyl with black "rainbow" color band label. Vinyl is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. Vinyl plays beautifully with almost no surface noise and rich, clear sound.
