LP at hand is built around the hit title song "Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow," which was used in the TV show "Baretta," starring Robert Blake. LP was produced by Eugene McDaniels, whose "Headless Horsemen" LP is very collectible today. Sound of LP is extremely funky, well-produced soul music. This 7" (produced by the great Norman Whitfield) features the same song on both sides in Mono and Stereo. The song (a Whitfield-Strong composition) is a great funky side with a driving beat (uncharacteristic of Motown at this time). The disc-from a mostly unplayed DJ collection-is clean, glossy and Mint (clean labels). Click Here To View Item - (MINT) - $7.99- Order

- Simone, Nina-Save Me/To Be Young Gifted and Black- 45- mono-RCA (UK) 1903 - 1969 45 RPM 7" release by pianist and songwriter, Nina Simone. The true A side is "Young Gifted & Black", which was a hit for her. However, the real drawing card of this single is the production by pianist, songwriter, and arranger, Weldon Irvine. "Save Me" is led by a non-stop funky bass line with choppy electic guitar. Simone's piano is not audible, if it is on the track at all. Truly a stand-out version by Nina and Weldon.
