  • Subotnik/Morton Subotnick with Mario Guarneri (trumpet) and the Twentieth Century Players-Sky of Cloudless Sulphur/After the Butterfly- LP- Stereo-Nonesuch N-78001 - 1980 33 1/3 RPM Nonesuch Digital LP release by electronic music pioneer, Morton Subotnick, who first came to fame with his classic 1967 recording, "Silver Apples of the Moon." A side ("Sky") is a completely electronic composition, realized by Subotnick on a Buchla synthesizer. B side ("After") uses an 8 piece ensemble (trumpets, cellos, clarinets, trombones, percussion), with each instrument amplified and electronically manipulated-this piece has not, to our knowledge, been reissued on CD. Cover (punch hole top right) is super clean-no stains, tears, splits, or writing. Disc is MINT. Plays clean with virtually no surface noise and rich detailed sound.
