Haydn/Paukenmesse & Michael Haydn/Ave Regina- LP- stereo-Argo (UK) ZRG 634 - 1970 33 1/3 LP release featuring choral works by Joseph Haydn and son Michael, performed by the ASMF and Choir of St. John's College, with George Guest directing. Copy at hand is an original first press UK manufactured Argo "ZRG" series LP, offering excellent sound quality. Glossy cover shows a little creasing/rippling-no stains, tears or writing. Disc (dark green label with silver print-oval logo characteristic of a first pressing-"Made In UK"-see our scan) is clean, glossy and Near Mint. Overall, disc plays quite nicely with only light surface noise and rich, clear sound!

Original 1st press German-made DGG LP release, offering rich sound. Glossy cover is super clean, grading Near Mint. Original libretto insert is enclosed. Disc (medium weight vinyl-yellow label with "tulip" rim) is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. Plays nicely with only very minor surface noise and rich sound.

  • Jurgens, Jurgen/Knabensolisten der Wiener Sangerknaben, Monteverdi-Chor Hamburg, Concentus Musicus Wien-Monteverdi: Vespro Della Beata Vergine Marien-Vesper 1610- LP- stereo-Telefunken (Germany) SAWT 9501/02 - 1972 33 1/3 RPM 2 LP box set release, featuring recordings made in 1966. Award-winning record (French Grand Prix du Disque). Copy at hand is an original German-made Telefunken stereo LP (blue label/black print-"Royal Sound" label) offering excellent sound quality. Cloth-bound box cover (notes included inside) shows slight wear & fraying at bottom left corner. Name in pen on back cover. Two booklets are enclosed. Discs within are both Near Mint. (Please note: all Flip Side Records Classical LP's are double-cleaned at a minimum on our VPI record-cleaning machine to insure the best possible playback.) Both discs play nicely with only moderate surface noise and rich, clear sound!

  • Lanza, Mario-The Desert Song- LP- Living Stereo-RCA LSP 2440 - 1960 33 1/3 rpm LP release, featuring the great tenor, Mario Lanza, in a performance of Sigmund Romberg's "The Desert Song". Orchestra and chorus conducted by Constantine Callinicos. Lanza is joined by Judith Raskin (soprano), Raymond Murcell (baritone), and Donald Arthur (bass). Copy at hand is an original first press RCA Victor Living Stereo copy in excellent condition. (Living Stereo was a recording process developed by RCA which produced ahead-of-it's-time audiophile quality sound combined with an extremely quiet playing surface.) Cover is clean with only the slightest wear-no splits, stains, tears, etc., grading Near Mint. Disc (heavy vinyl, red label w/silver, "dog on top", "deep groove") bears the most desirable markings in the dead wax, indicating that it is one of the earliest discs off the press. Markings are: "A1/A2" ("mother" numbers), 1S/1S (lowest possible "stamper" numbers), and "I" (from the superior Indiana pressing plant). Vinyl is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. Plays with only very minor surface noise and rich, clear sound!

  • Leinsdorf, Erich conducting the RCA Italiana Opera House Orchestra and Chorus with Leontyne Price, Richard Tucker, Rosalind Elias, and Philip Maero-Puccini: Madama Butterfly- LP- stereo-RCA LSC 6160 - 1960 33 1/3 RPM 3 disc box set release. Copy at hand is an original 1st press RCA "shaded dog" Dynagroove Living Stereo LP (a transitional label between the Living Stereo and Dynagroove eras), offering excellent sound quality. LP comes to us from the estate of a former RCA representative. Hard cover box shows almost no wear-back cover has small smudge-spine has 2 inch split-no writing or tears. Deluxe libretto, faux Japanese geisha print, and one page Dynagroove hype sheet are enclosed within. All three discs (red label with silver print-"shaded dog"-"deep groove"-"Dynagroove Living Stereo" at bottom center) are clean, glossy, and Near Mint. All Flip Side Classical LP's are double-cleaned at a minimum on our VPI machine. Set plays beautifully throughout with only minor surface noise and rich, clear sound.

Classic performance of Don Giovanni, featuring top vocalists of the day. Copy at hand is an original 1st press RCA Living Stereo set, offering rich audiophile-quality sound. Front slick on the box shows wear around the edges-box is 100% intact with no splits. Discs (red labels with silver print-"shaded dog"-"deep groove") all grade Near Mint with clean and glossy surfaces except for disc 1, which gets a low grade due to a couple of unslightly marks on A side which cause popping for about 2 minutes-vinyl overall plays clean with rich sound. Discs in the set bear the following desirable early dead wax markings: Disc 1: "I" (Indiana Press), "A2/D3" (mother numbers), "1S/1S" (stamper numbers) Disc 2: "I", "B1/A4", "1S/3S" Disc 3: "I", "A2/A2", "6S/1S", Disc 4: "I", "B1/B1", "5S/1S".

  • Price, Leontyne/Rosalind Elias/Richard Tucker/Leonard Warren/Giorgio Tozzi with Arturo Basile/Rome Opera House Orchestra and Chorus-Verdi/Highlights Il Trovatore- Reel to Reel- Living Stereo-RCA FTC 2122 - 1962 release, 4 track 7 1/2 IPS reel to reel tape featuring the allstar cast of Leontyne Price, Rosalind Elias, Richard Tucker, Leonard Warren and Giorgio Tozzi, along with the Rome Opera House Orchestra, performing highlights from Verdi's Il Trovatore. Overall, box shows light wear from handling. Top left corner has seam split. Box edges show a little wear. Front slick is clean and glossy, however. Recorded with RCA's famous "Living Stereo" process, which produced audiophile-quality sound well ahead of it's time! Tape within is well-cared for with clean leader. Classic performance of Il Trovatore. Nice vintage Classical reel!

Classic performance of the Verdi Requiem by Fritz Reiner and the Vienna Philharmonic with legendary vocalists in tow. The copy at hand is an original RCA/Teldec/Telefunken Living Stereo pressing, offering rich audophile sound quality. The box shows slight wear overall, but all corners are intact. All 3 discs (red label, silver print, RCA logo in silver at the top) are visually near mint. The discs play nicely with light to moderate surface noise. Rare Living Stereo item-offered for a low price.
