  • Beaux Arts String Quartet-David Diamond: String Quartet No.4 / Samuel Barber: String Quartet Op.11- LP- stereo-Epic BC 1307 - (Approx) 1965 33 1/3 RPM LP releaseby the Beaux Arts String Quartet. Copy at hand is an original 1st press EPIC stereo LP, offering excellent sound quality. Front cover has 3 areas which have sustained various scrapes and scratches: 1. long light mark at top left, 2. scrape and scratch at left center, 3. several small scrapes and scratches at right center. Back cover is clean with only minor wear-no writing, splits, or stains. Disc (heavy vinyl-purple label with black print and EPIC logo in white) is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. Plays nicely with only minor surface noise and rich, clear sound.

Original Philips UK ABL mono series LP. Glossy cover is clean-slight curling and wear along right edge ("mouth" of sleeve). Disc (extra-heavy vinyl-dark red "Minigroove" label with silver print) is clean, glossy, and visually Near Mint. However, as disc plays with moderate surface noise, our official grade is EXC+. Scarce vintage UK Classical LP!

  • Bergonzi, Carlo-Arias- LP- stereo-RCA LSC 3084 - 1969 33 1/3 RPM LP release by distinguished Italian tenor, Carlo Bergonzi. LP showcases an all-Verdi aria program. Copy at hand is still factory SEALED. Cover (1/4" saw mark at top left) is near-perfect in shrink with sharp corners. Disc (clearly heavy vinyl 1st press as cover and disc are hefty and solid) is of course, MINT and unplayed.

Copy at hand is still factory SEALED-100% new and unused. Cover is 99% Mint inside shrinkwrap, but bottom right corner has been exposed and shows a little wear. Disc within is, of course, MINT and unplayed.

Tape also includes Bernstein's classic spoken word exposition, "How a Great Symphony Was Written" (a talk with musical illustration on the first movement of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony-from the CBS Television Network Program).. This performance is still well-regarded today. This reel has a bonus feature: "How a Great Symphony Was Written", which was taken from a series of television broadcasts designed to educate the American public about Classical music. These lectures are still considered to be of value by educators today. This auction is one of many to come, as we have acquired a fine collection of vintage reels (Classical, Pop, Jazz) which was very carefully cared for by it's original owner. LP at hand is a monaural pressing of an album which is VERY rare and valuable in (Living) stereo-this copy may well serve as an excellent, low-cost alternative. This copy is an original RCA "shaded dog" LP, offering excellent sound quality. LP came to us from the estate of a former RCA representative. Cover is extremely clean with only minor wear. No writing, splits, tears or stains. Disc (heavy vinyl-red label with silver print-"shaded dog"-"deep groove"-"Long Play" at bottom center) is clean, glossy and Near Mint. Plays beautifully with only minor surface noise and clear sound. This title appears to be N/A on CD.
