- Alpert/Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass-The Beat of the Brass- Reel to Reel- stereo-A&M 146 - 1968 4 track 7 1/2 IPS reel to reel tape release by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. Album tracks include the title song from the musical, "Cabaret", which was a minor Pop hit for the group. Biggest track of the album by far, however, is the vocal tune (sung by Herb, who rarely featured his voice), "This Guy's In Love With You", which was written by Bert Bacharach and Hal David. - Alpert/Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass-What Now My Love- Reel to Reel- stereo-A&M OR 4114 - 1966 4 track 7 1/2 IPS reel to reel tape release by trumpeter and hitmaker, Herb Alpert and his band, the Tijuana Brass. Title track was a big Pop hit, and the album as a whole stayed at #1 on the Billboard album charts for an amazing nine weeks. Track listing: What Now My Love, Freckles, Memories Of Madrid, It Was a Very Good Year, So What's New?, Plucky, Magic Trumpet, Cantina Blue, Brasilia, If I Were a Rich Man, Five Minutes More, The Shadow of Your Smile. Box corners are intact with no splits-slight wear to cover slick around edges. Tape inside is Near Mint. Nice vintage reel!

- Atkins, Chet-Hi-Fi In Focus- LP- mono-RCA LPM 1577 - 195733 1/3 RPM LP release by guitar virtuoso, Chet Atkins. Copy at hand is a 1981 2nd pressing with alternate cover art. (1st press had modern art spiral which occupied the whole cover-2nd press had totally different spiral patterns with a Gretsch guitar in the middle.) Songs run the gamut from Jazz, Pop, Classical, International, and include a version of Jimmy Smith's "Walk Don't Run" (later recorded by The Ventures). Track listing: "El Cumbanchero","Ain't Misbehavin'', "Shadow Waltz", "Anna", "Yesterdays", "Portuguese Washerwoman", "Tiger Rag", "Walk, Don't Run", "Tara's Theme", "Johnson Rag", "Lullaby of the Leaves", "Bouree", "Avorada". Cover is extremely clean with slight ringwear. Front cover has small scraped area on the right edge towards the top. Disc (Heavy vinyl, deep groove, dog on top, RCA Victor in white print) is clean & glossy, A side shows a couple of light marks on the first 2 cuts-B side is clean. These marks do NOT signifigantly affect play. Plays nicely with light to moderate surface noise and clear sound.

Ciari eventually settled in Japan, where he still enjoys great popularity. Tracks include: 1)La Playa 2)Happy Guitar 3)Poderoso Senor. Cover is extremely clean with no stains, splits, or writing-slightly messy punch hole at top right. Disc (blue label with silver print) is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. Plays clean with rich sound and only minor surface noise.

- Denny, Martin-Exotica Volume One: The Exciting Sounds of Martin Denny- Reel to Reel- stereo-Liberty LT 7034 - 1958 4 track 7 1/2 IPS reel to reel tape by Martin Denny. This is Denny's very first album, with some of his finest output. While not the very first exponent of "Exotica", Denny and his group (working live at a club in Hawaii) developed a unique, densely layered musical style using exotic percussion, fake bird (human-voiced) & animal sounds, set to Polynesian, Asian & other exotic melodies. Denny's great version of Les Baxter's "Quiet Village" was a #4 Pop hit. Album as a whole is highly enjoyable & a rich stereo experience for the audiophile! - Ferrante & Teicher-Getting Together- LP- stereo-UAS 550 - 1970 release by piano duo, Ferrante & Teicher, best known for their use of "prepared piano" to create imaginative effects for their movie themes and popular hits. 12 tracks, including "The Theme From 'Z'," "Good Morning Starshine" and for all you Bob Dylan fans, their Top 100 version of his "Lay, Lady, Lay." Record is still sealed in original factory shrinkwrap. Bottom left corner has light wear where shrink has torn away. Vinyl sealed within is, of course, unplayed and Mint.
