The band was the first to record in the classic New Orleans/Dixieland style and tour internationally. Although the group holds a controversial place in Jazz history due to the fact that their status as white musicians gave them priority over worthier black musicians, historians do agree that they were solid players. The sides (including "Ostrich Walk", "Sphinx", "Look At 'Em Doing It" & "At the Jazz Band Ball") included on this set had a major impact in England. Textured gatefold cover is Near Mint.
