- Young/Lester Young & Teddy Wilson-Pres and Teddy- LP- mono-American Recording Society - 1956 33 1/3 RPM LP release on the American Recording Society (ARS) label, which ran an LP mail order service for it's members. Material was originally recorded for Norman Granz' Verve label, and features a great pairing of Lester Young (tenor sax), with Teddy Wilson (piano) Rhythm section is Jo Jones and Gene Ramey. Track listing: Our Love Is Here to Stay, Pres Returns, Louise, All of Me, Prisoner of Love, Taking a Chance On Love. ARS LP's of this period did not come with hard-cover jackets and were housed simply in thick plastic jackets (see our scan). We have supplied a clean paper inner sleever for the disc. Vinyl has nice gloss. A side shows only a spindle mark. B side has a light scratch on last track. Plays nicely with light to moderate surface noise. Rare disc, with a $50 list price.
