• Alice's Restaurant (Arlo Guthrie)-Original Motion Picture Score- LP- stereo-United Artists UAS 5195 - 1969 33 1/3 RPM LP release-soundtrack LP for the film version of the Arlo Guthrie story-song, "Alice's Restaurant." Guthrie has 4 songs on the LP: "Traveling Music," "Trip to the City," and the 2-part "Alice's Restaurant Massacree." (We have been unable to determine if the "Massacree" featured on this album is the same as the one Arlo recorded for Warner Bros. Aurally, we were unable to tell. However, we were unable to see any credit to Warner Bros. for use of the song so this version may possibly be a different version recorded for United Artists.) Also features 1 track each by Tigger Outlaw and Al Shackman, plus 3 instrumentals by Garry Sherman. Cover is super-clean in original shrinkwrap-slight wear to exposed right edge. • Bjork-Music From Mathew Barney's- LP- stereo-One Little Indian (U.S.) OLI 459 - 2005 3 1/3 LP release by Bjork. Album contains the soundtrack music, composed by Bjork herself, for the movie, "Drawing Restraint 9", by her signifigant other, avant-garde filmaker, Matthew Barney. Bjork creates some beautiful and rather unearthly soundscapes using complex rhythms, unusual instrumentation, and, of course, her voice. Copy at hand is a U.S.-made One Little Indians Records LP, STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. Cover is near-perfect inside shrink. (Tiny bit of creasing to the bottom right corner. Music was composed and conducted by Frank Cordell. Tracks include "Up the Nile," "Gordon Enters Khartoum," and "Severed Heads." Cover is Mint in original shrink. Disc (heavy vinyl-black label with silver print-colored circles at top) is clean, glossy, and Near Mint. • Queen-Flash Gordon/Original Motion Picture Soundtrack- LP- stereo-Elektra SE 518 - 1980 33 1/3 RPM white label promo LP release by Queen. Queen got the commission for the much-anticipated movie remake of "Flash Gordon". As it turned out, the Queen soundtrack music turned out to be the best thing about the project. Cover (with gold promo stamp on front at top right) has custom sticker glued to top right (this had come loose-we have neatly reglued it but it does show a little creasing). Cover shows very minor wear only-no stains, tears, splits, writing, etc. Crisp original insert sheet with great color photo of the Emperor Mint and album credits on reverse is inside cover. Disc is housed in original custom inner sleeve-clean and uncreased, although the sharp edge of the LP has cut through the edges in 2 places (approx 2" splits). LP has lots of good music, including some hard to find tracks, with music by Connie ("When the Boys Meet the Girls", "Mail Call", "Embraceable You", plus 2 others), Sam the Sham ("Monkey See, Monkey Do"), Harve Presnell ("Embraceable You" plus 2 duets with Connie), Louis Armstrong ("Throw It Out Your Mind" plus 2 others), Herman's Hermits ("Listen People" and "Bidin' My Time") and Liberace ("Aruba Liberace"). Cover (neat punch hole bottom left) is Near Mint. Front cover has sticker pasted onto top center advertising the presence of the hit, "Listen, People". Disc (black label, silver print, MGM logo at top-characteristic of a first pressing) is MINT.
