  • Belvin, Jesse-The Smooth Rhythm & Blues Sounds of Jesse Belvin- CD- stereo-RCA RJC 67710 - 1999 promo-only CD release by vocalist & songwriter, Jesse Belvin. We're not quite sure why this CD was released. It may have been a publisher's sampler or a promo for a CD project that was cancelled. In any case, the disc offers a generous 25 tracks taken from Belvin's 2 RCA album sessions, with excellent sound quality. (These LP's were originally recorded with the vaunted RCA "Living Stereo" process, which offered ahead-of-it's-time audiophile-quality sound reproduction. Also, top arrangers like Marty Paich and players like Jack Sheldon & Art Pepper were also used on these sessions, which are extremely well-produced.) Belvin had a vocal style which many have compared to Nat "King" Cole and to Sam Cooke. Two Pop hits from the RCA era are included in this collection, "Funny" and "Guess Who". Cover is Near Mint. Disc is MINT.

  • Bent Bolt and The Nuts-The Mechanical Man/Sweet and Sour- 45- mono-MGM K-13635 - 1966 45 RPM seven inch disc by Ben Bolt & the Nuts (AKA Teddy Randazzo of The Three Chuckles, later a successful record producer). A side is an EXTREMELY goofy novelty song ostensibly narrated by a mechanical man who sounds like Popeye talking through a vocoder! This song reached #17 on Kenny Everett's World's Worst Records list and was a Dr. Demento favorite as well. B side is an off-kilter keyboard instro. This copy comes with the VERY rare picture sleeve, which unfortunately has a hole punched through the center. (Not that obvious, though, as our scan shows.) Price stamped in ink. Disc is MINT. Very rare Comedy/Novelty item.
