  • Bowen, Jimmy-My Kind of Woman/Blue Moon- 45- mono-Roulette 4102 - - (VG+) - $10- Order

  • Cook, Colin-Wanted/I'll Always Be In Love With You- 45- mono-W&G WG-S 2699 - 1966 seven inch 45 rpm release with small center hole by Australian Rock & Roll singer, Colin Cook. Cook, like many in the UK, maintained a classic 50's sound in his music long after U.S. artists abandoned it. (A CD reissue of Cook's early sides shows the artist with a great pompador!) References we consulted list the Pop ballad, "Wanted" as the A side, which has orchestral backing. The B side, "I'll Always Be In Love With You", however, has good backing by The Strangers, and is a nice Pop Rockabilly tune. Copy at hand is an original Australian W&G original, in Near Mint condition.

  • Everly Brothers-Fabulous Style of The Everly Brothers- LP- stereo-Cadence CLP 25040 - 1962 33/13 RPM LP release by the Everly Brothers. Rare stereo copy of this LP (essentially a "best of" collection of their great Cadence material). LP was 1st issued in 1960-copy at hand is a 2nd press stereo copy from few years later-quite rare even so. Tracks include "Let It Be Me", "When Will I Be Loved", "Hey Doll Baby", and "Be Bop A-Lula". Glossy cover is near perfect. Disc (red-NOT maroon-label with black outer band) is Mint. Fabulous UNPLAYED copy from the old Cadence warehouse!

  • Four Star Combo-Let's Dog This Beat- CD- mono-none - 2009 compact disc release by The Four Star Combo. Five song debut EP by "The Combo", which is the brainchild of Flip Side Records owner, Ron Scott. Disc was recorded at Wild Hare studios in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Players: Ron Scott ("Bad Ron", lead vocals/guitars), Eric Hurtt ("The Big Hurt", lead guitar, vocals), Rolf Hanson ("The Hammer", upright bass, vocals), and Drake Sorey ("The Oklahoma Kid", drums, vocals). Musical style is pure 1950's Rockabilly and Honky Tonk. Sound of the band is stripped-down and primal, emerging from the PA like a long-lost radio broadcast from 1956! Tracks 1 & 4 are Ron Scott originals. Track list: Wait a Minute, Baby, Linda Lu, Conscience to the Wind, Rompin' & Stompin', Daddy-O Rock. Ships for $3.00 in the U.S., $6.00 international.

  • Haley/Bill Haley and His Comets-Razzle Dazzle/Two Hound Dogs- 78- mono-Decca 29552 - 1955 78 RPM record by Rock 'N' Roll pioneers, Bill Haley & His Comets. A side, "Razzle Dazzle" (with a wild lead guitar line!) was a Top Twenty Pop hit in both the U.S. and the U.K. B side is a Charles Calhoun composition-also a fine Rocker. Copy at hand is an original first pressing, housed in a vintage Decca 78 sleeve. Disc is well used but not abused. Surface shows numerous light to moderate marks, but only one heavier scratch at beginning of A side. (This mark did not signifigantly affect play on our turntable, however.) Disc plays nicely with moderate surface noise and clear sound.

  • Holly, Buddy-Reminiscing / Wait Till The Sun Shines, Nellie- 45- Mono-Coral (UK) 72455 - 1962 release 45 RPM single by Buddy Holly. A Side (released posthumously) actually reached #17 on the UK Pop charts, a reflection of Holly's high standing with the British public. B side is a seldom heard Holly track. This is a black label Coral UK 1st press with round and undetached center hole spindle. Vinyl has 100% gloss and would be Mint were it not for a light spindle mark on the B side, which does not affect play. Both labels are clean. Beautiful copy! Rare UK Buddy Holly collectible!
